Je fine art Gallery’s art world
Starting with a base material Roseline Koener frees her mind of restrictions and follows the flowing of colors she describes as being rhythmic. With no beginning and no end, Koener begins to build layer upon layer of color and shapes. Utilizing paint,handmade paper,textile,ink,pigments,and text to create an abstract form of feeling rather than ’seeing'. Having come from a background of classical portrait drawing and painting Roseline is dedicated to following her "inner journey as a painter" and to free herself of the world of representation. It is in the shapes, space, colors, and texture that demand more than seeing with your eyes, it involves interpretation and feeling. Looking at all the layers,shapes and colors the viewer can feel that she has been influenced by her travels in Africa; a place rich with bright colors and patterns. To view these works is to feel their energy.

作为一个画家的旅程
从黑暗进入光明,如荷花般轻柔绽放,Roseline说,她在创作上的内在转化,就是用眼睛和手来召唤童真。
这种改变源自一次惊艳的非洲之旅。1983年, Roseline第一次来到塞内加尔,在这里,她重新发现了色彩的奥秘。
“我看到一个非洲姑娘身穿名叫Boubou的传统服饰——一件色彩艳丽的蜡染布衣,她在红尘黄土中走过,身上的颜色仿佛纷纷剥落,与大地争奇斗艳。”
Roseline的画,常有一袭华衣的感觉,原来是有故事渊源的!
“从黑暗中释放,我让色彩自由自在地生长,就像是从内心深处放出的火焰光芒。”
于是,她着手用不同材质(手工纸、布料)探索颜色间的空间互动,用书法、肌理、节奏,模仿音乐的振动与能量。她为色彩的空间艺术而着迷。空间关系中的色彩交相辉映,妙趣横生——它们彼此互动,有时更完整,有时更浓烈,有时衬托得耀眼,有时调和得雅致。

事实上,这一转变对Roseline来说是命中注定。
“我来自于学院派绘画背景,以前以人物、肖像为主。然而,当时我已在试图寻找光线的触觉。由此,解放表现的世界,是我的内心诉求。”
“绘画是通向光明、统一、极乐和自由的精神之旅,拥抱明暗,将它们一并转化为生命。沉醉于色彩之中,我获得了宇宙与人性的交互体验。”
